Mold Assembler

StackTeck is a leading provider of high-performance tooling solutions for the injection molding industry. With over five decades of experience, we supply a wide range of injection molds and automation systems used in various applications, including caps, closures, medical devices, and packaging.
Job Summary:
The Mold Assembler will be responsible for assembling and disassembling injection molds and components to repair and test them according to customer requirements. This role will report to the Supervisor, Repair Department at the Teck Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble and clean molds to identify necessary repairs
- Troubleshoot components and document required repairs
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers, to ensure accurate assembly
- Work to close tolerances on all assigned projects
- Use various hand and power tools to complete assembly and disassembly tasks
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and written instructions to accurately assemble components
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the work area and shop floor
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in a Mechanical discipline (not required but preferred)
- 2-3 years of mechanical assembly experience
- Ability to use measuring instruments and precision tools
- Knowledge of plastic injection molds (preferred)
