The salary range for this position is CAD $27. Join the Food Production Services team at Dogwood Care Home in Vancouver, BC, to help maintain a positive and safe environment for patients, residents, families, visitors, and staff.

This is a CASUAL/ON-CALL position. The team is constantly looking for new members to ensure we have a strong pool of casual staff available.

  • Build seniority hours by working more hours as a casual staff member.
  • Utilize various cooking methods like frying, roasting, grilling, and baking.
  • Follow established menus, recipes, and production requirements for food products.
  • Prepare, portion, and serve food items for various outlets.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a recognized 12-month cooking program or equivalent.
  • Food Safe Certificate Level 1.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Important: All employees at Vancouver Coastal Health must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have received the most recent vaccine dose by October 5, 2023. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
