Administrative Assistant/Client Service Associate

How does the role impact the organization?

Raymond James Ltd., Struthers Wealth Advisory Group, is seeking an Administrative Assistant/Client Service Associate to work in our Edmonton office. As one of Canada's leading independent investment dealers, we offer high-quality investment products and services to Canadians seeking customized solutions for their wealth management needs.

The position's primary focus is to assist the Advisor and Associates in the success of the business. The candidate must display meticulous attention to detail, possess a positive attitude, and have relationship building skills - as they will be dealing directly with clients. The successful candidate must also be responsible, self-motivated, and proficient at working closely with a capable, diverse, and experienced team.

What will your role be responsible for?
  • Prepare and process paperwork accurately to ensure compliance
  • Maintain a cohesive filing system and complete general office duties
  • Be involved in preparing correspondence and reports
  • Manage incoming and outgoing phone calls with clients
  • Foster and support client relationships
  • Respond to requests in a timely manner with proactive problem-solving
  • Process and follow-up on security transactions and transfers, including incoming deposits from clients
  • Prepare fiscal year-end tax packages, and assist clients with tax inquiries
  • Periodically review administrative process to ensure they are current/efficient for the completion of tasks

What do we expect from you?

To qualify for this opportunity you possess:
  • Experience in the securities or financial industry
  • Completed a post-secondary degree and/or diploma
  • Completed the Canadian Securities course and the Conducts and Practices Handbook with 30-day training requirement for IR licensing (or must commit to complete IR licensing within 12 months of date hired)
  • Superior communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of Broadridge and CRM software (Maximizer, Salesforce) is an asset
  • The ability to handle confidential information
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • A desire to work full time in our downtown office with the rest of our team
