Avionics Technician

Avionics Technician required to perform maintenance tasks on aircraft avionics systems, including removal, disassembly, and repair of components, with a focus on safety and quality.

An Avionics Technician performs a variety of tasks, including servicing, elementary work, and maintenance on aircraft avionics systems and components.
Key Responsibilities:- Safely operate support equipment and hand/power tools, adhering to Tool and FOD control procedures.
- Review and respond to built-in-test results, resolving defects and unserviceability on avionics systems.
- Conduct support for EMI/EMC tasks and perform ramp duties, including marshalling, parking, and fuelling.
- Assist Avionics Systems Technicians with maintenance tasks and provide on-job-training to other technicians.
- Perform authorized airworthiness functions and travel to off-site locations as required.
- Meet one of the following eligibility streams: graduate of recognized aircraft maintenance or apprenticeship program, hold a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) license, or be qualified as an Avionics Technician with the Canadian Forces.
- Transport Canada licensed AME's or candidates with FAA/JAA equivalent, eligible for Transport Canada license or experience as Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA).
- Basic to detailed knowledge of aircraft avionics systems, including communications, navigational, radar, data management, instrument, and electrical power distribution systems.
- Demonstrate a compliant and skilled level of proficiency in maintenance tasks and airworthiness requirements.
