About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Personal Care Attendant to join our team at NL Health Services. As a valued member of our interprofessional team, you will provide support to residents in all aspects of daily living through companionship, physical, spiritual, and psychosocial care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance with daily living activities, including nutrition, personal hygiene, and mobility
  • Assist with planning and providing recreational activities to promote resident engagement and well-being
  • Support families and residents with end-of-life issues and escort residents as needed
  • Work collaboratively with registered nurses and licensed practical nurses to provide resident-centered care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Successful completion of an approved Personal Care Attendant Program or equivalency
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with residents, staff, and families
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work duties
  • A satisfactory record of work performance
