About the Position

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious School Bus Driver to join our team at First Student Canada. As a School Bus Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a school bus safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, and school staff.
  • Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other drivers and school staff to ensure a smooth and efficient transportation experience.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license for at least 1 year.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a Ministry-prescribed medical examination and background checks.

What We Offer

  • A competitive starting wage of $19.14 per hour, depending on experience.
  • No experience necessary - we provide training.
  • A 4-hour guarantee, with additional hours available on charter routes.
  • A child ride-along program.
  • No nights or weekends.
