**Patient Care Coordinator**

The University Health Network (UHN) is a leading healthcare provider in Canada, known for its excellence in patient care, research, and education. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Operating Room at Toronto Western Hospital.

**Job Summary**

This is a permanent full-time position that requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to coordinate patient care, manage administrative tasks, and provide leadership to the interprofessional team.

**Key Responsibilities**
  • Coordinate patient care and manage administrative tasks to ensure efficient and effective unit operation
  • Perform human resources responsibilities, including staff development and mentoring
  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure high standards of quality and optimal management of patient care outcomes
  • Perform cross-functional duties as assigned or requested
**Qualifications**
  • BScN Baccalaureate in Nursing (minimum) or Master's degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • Current certificate of competency (licensure) from the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) program Level II
  • Five years tertiary Perioperative Nursing experience
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds, and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high-quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance with UHN standards
  • Demonstrated initiative and good judgment with ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated excellence in decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Clinical and patient teaching skills
  • Knowledge of applicable legislative, UHN, and/or departmental policies
  • Compliance with confidentiality requirements
  • Demonstrated membership within a professional nursing association and/or nursing interest groups related to practice
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent Attendance Record
