We are seeking a Senior Health & Benefits Consultant II to lead consulting engagements with employers regarding their medical, dental, life, disability benefit plans and programs.

As a Senior Health & Benefits Consultant II, you will play a critical role in leading consulting engagements with employers regarding their medical, dental, life, disability benefit plans and programs. You will negotiate with benefits carriers and vendors to secure health and welfare plan coverage for these employers.





Key Responsibilities:

• Lead client engagements, including managing overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewals, business placement, benchmarking and other studies
• Develop benefits design and renewal strategies and drive the development of tools and solutions to address client issues
• Effectively communicate Mercer's position on latest industry trends to clients
• Be accountable for revenue/profitability for client accounts and projects
• Generate sales by expanding revenues from existing clients and by leading prospecting efforts with new clients
• Set strategic direction that creates demand for new products/services in the marketplace





Requirements:

• BA/BS degree
• At least 8 years' experience in identifying, designing, recommending and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to clients' health care benefits challenges
• Valid and current LLQP license
• Renowned expertise and industry reputation in the health & benefits field
• Superior analytical, mathematical, and strategic planning skills; coupled with excellent communication and listening skills
• Demonstrated management skills in leading projects
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in Excel and working knowledge of the MS Office suite
