As a Team Leader/Deck Supervisor at Goldfish Swim School, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our swim programs. Your primary responsibility will be to supervise a team of instructors who provide swim instruction based on our curriculum, while maintaining a fun and engaging experience for students.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise instructors to ensure they are providing high-quality swim instruction and maintaining a safe learning environment.
  • Enforce safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents, and make rescues and administer first aid when necessary.
  • Evaluate students' performance to identify areas for improvement and provide feedback to instructors.
  • Interact with parents/guardians to discuss students' progress and provide updates on their swim skills.
  • Use problem-solving skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter during lessons.
  • Inspect pool areas before and after each class to ensure they are clean and well-maintained.
  • Maintain and store pool equipment properly, and perform light cleaning duties as needed.
  • Participate in training and reporting as required.
Requirements:
  • Commitment to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week, with a minimum of 12 hours per week.
  • Current Lifesaving Society - National Lifeguard Certification.
  • Aquatics Supervisor Trained - AST Certification.
  • Current Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED.
  • Previous experience delivering high-quality swimming lesson supervision is preferred.

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity in the pool area. The noise level is usually moderate.
