Job SummaryHow you can contribute: You'll be in charge of heavy-duty cleaning tasks, including cleaning hard floor surfaces, surfaces reachable by ladder or scaffolding, and garbage collection and disposal.
As a Heavy Duty Cleaner, you will:
- Dry mop, wet mop, and polish hard surface floors, using buffing machines as needed
- Strip and finish hard surface floors manually or with power equipment
- Dispose of garbage and operate the compactor, ensuring regular cleaning
- Transport maintenance equipment between floors and job sites
- Clean glass areas requiring ladders or scaffolding
- Wash and maintain washroom floors
- Clean stairwells and elevator cabs as needed
- Perform wall and ceiling cleaning, including light fixtures and fans
- Use specific equipment for carpet maintenance
- Follow health and safety regulations and company policies
About you:
- Prior experience in cleaning or housekeeping is necessary
- Ability to understand and communicate detailed instructions verbally and in writing
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
- Attention to detail and effective time management
- Proficiency in operating cleaning equipment
- Physical capability to perform job duties
