About the Role

Svante is a rapidly growing clean energy technology company making commercial-scale carbon capture and removal a reality. We're seeking a talented Co-op to join our Structured Adsorbent Bed (SAB) design team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of product and technology development projects within the SAB design team portfolio.
  • Collaborate with senior members of the SAB design team and the Core Product Technology team to ensure successful project completion.
  • Develop and maintain software data analysis tools, with a strong understanding of best practices in software architecture development and data pipeline management.
  • Perform data analysis and reporting on experimental and operational data from in-house testing, 3rd-party testing, and Svante and customer systems.
  • Support the development of analytical and numerical software models related to key technology competencies.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in mechanical engineering or similar degree.
  • Proficient in CAD software tools and FEA, especially Creo and ANSYS.
  • Excellent grasp of first principles in mechanical engineering, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
  • Fabrication and rapid prototyping skills and experience, including design for rapid prototyping.
Bonus Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience advancing technology from an immature to an advanced state.
  • Proficient with open-source software tools such as Python (especially scientific libraries) and web development.
