Nuclear Medicine Technologist required to prepare, dispense, and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic procedures and therapies.

About the Opportunity

Under the supervision of the Manager, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist will prepare, dispense, and administer radiopharmaceuticals for more than 70 nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures and therapies. This includes quality assurance of radiopharmaceuticals, imaging equipment, and documentation maintenance.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will adapt procedures, perform complex computer manipulations and analysis, and provide a high standard of healthcare to clients. On a rotating basis, they will independently perform on-call/emergency procedures outside of department hours.

About You
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification and Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Basic Life Support Certification and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
  • Able to adapt to changes or unusual circumstances and establish a rapport with patients
  • Must be committed to practicing all aspects of Nuclear Medicine and demonstrate initiative in maintaining and expanding related skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
  • Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
  • Monday to Friday, Days. Subject to change if operationally required.
  • Call rotation is required
  • Travel between sites may be required
Compensation and Incentives

$39.96 hourly
