About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Yonge Street Mission. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of children and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement innovative programs that promote child development and learning
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children's growth and well-being
  • Design and lead engaging activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Supervise student interns and volunteers to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations, including the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 and Education Act

Requirements
  • Early Childhood Education diploma or degree and registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Experience working in a multicultural, low-income daycare setting
  • First aid training with CPR/AED infant/child level C and full health assessment
  • Demonstrated commitment to our principles of faith, mission, and values
