About the Role

The Patient Care Aide plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in our Oncology Clinic. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks that support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct, transport and escort patients within the area and to other departments.
  • Clean and stock examining rooms and other designated areas with necessary supplies.
  • Clean, sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment as directed.
  • Perform general service duties, including picking up and delivering items, answering telephones, and photocopying documents.
  • Assist patients with changing into and out of gowns as necessary.
  • Relay patient concerns and information to the healthcare team.

Requirements

  • Grade 10 completion
  • Graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Registered with BC Care Aide Community Health Worker Registry.
