Job Summary

The Millwright/Mechanic is a senior-level assembly position with extensive knowledge and experience with a diverse range of rotating equipment, including BBx, OHx, vertical pumps, small compressors, and other high-energy pumps. This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to execute work as provided on work instructions, routers, drawings, and checklists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and assemble rotating equipment, including BBx, OHx, vertical pumps, API pumps, ANSI pumps, Vacuum pumps, and other specialized high-energy rotating equipment.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and other gauges, to accurately set up and read measurements.
  • Work safely while helping colleagues work safely and utilizing Stop Work Authority when appropriate.
  • Follow pre-job briefs and checklists prior to assembly.
  • Paint, tag, and prep the pump prior to shipment to the customer.
  • Conduct low-pressure air tests and high-pressure hydrostatic tests.
  • Communicate clearly to peers and supervisors any related job issues.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of rotating equipment repair experience.
  • Able to read and interpret prints, shop drawings, assembly checklists, and other written work instructions.
  • Accurately set up and read precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and other gauges.
  • Basic computer aptitude to learn data entry systems as well as Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English and able to effectively understand work instructions, safety procedures, and company policies.
