The physiotherapist reports to the Manager of Rehabilitation Services and assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities. The physiotherapist may provide service in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings.
About the Role- Assess and diagnose patients with impairments, pain, or disabilities
- Treat patients using various techniques and modalities
- Communicate with other health disciplines, family members, and caregivers
- Supervise and evaluate physiotherapy students and assistants
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
- Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists
- BCLS
- Computer skills (statistics input, word processing)
- Additional courses/education/training in specialized areas or practice
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Part-time long assignment, 50% FTE, 37.5 hours biweekly
- Approximately 12 months
- $42.89 hourly
