Physiotherapy Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapy Team Lead to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our physiotherapy department, you will play a critical role in coordinating and monitoring the efficient provision of physiotherapy practice.
Under the direction of the Health Services Manager, you will work closely with other team leaders to ensure consistent, equitable, timely, and coordinated care is provided to patients. Your responsibilities will include identifying staffing needs, interviewing and assisting with the selection of staff, planning and facilitating the orientation of therapists and support staff, and fostering team processes that develop a continuum of patient care.
You will also be responsible for program planning and evaluation, ensuring practice is evidence-based and supported by current literature, and helping to ensure the utilization of outcome measures. Additionally, you will provide a liaison between the team and the respective department, and support clinical staff as needed.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, 3 years of physiotherapy clinical experience, and annual registration and licensing with Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy. You should also be eligible for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and have experience working as part of a healthcare team.
Key skills and qualifications include the ability to work independently, experience leading or supervising others, and experience leading a project team. You should also have good communication skills and the ability to organize and prioritize activities, as well as flexibility in dealing with constantly changing tasks.
Hours and CompensationThis is a permanent full-time position, 75 hours bi-weekly, with a competitive hourly rate of $46.36. Successful candidates may also be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
