Eastlink is a family-owned telecommunications company headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia, seeking a skilled professional to join its team.

This role is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, located in Young Tower, Halifax.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring high-quality and timely VAS Operations deliverables, including performance KPIs, life cycle management, and preventive maintenance.
  • Developing and validating Methods of Procedures and Change Application Procedures to ensure high-quality network implementations.
  • Performing periodic network audits and inconsistency cleanups to maintain network health.
  • Participating in regular security/vulnerability scans and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Staying up-to-date with relevant VAS, LTE, IMS/VoLTE, and 5G technology, as well as industry and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
  • Experience in operational tasks related to communications protocols, databases, IT security, etc.
  • Understanding of Linux systems, development, coding, and scripting abilities, including Shell, Python, etc.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP related translations, SIP, Diameter, and HTTPs protocols.
  • Understanding of Mobile Core/IMS and/or VAS network architecture.
  • Understanding of computer security, privacy requirements, and possible risks/exposure.
  • Teamwork, customer focus, accountability, cooperation, respect, and innovation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and provide 24/7 technical support.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
