What you will be doing

  • Manage rock tool inventory and track all new issues, discards, and losses.
  • Utilize Rock Tools Management System to monitor and report on tools performance.
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical recommendations and improvements to Supervisor and Sandvik Sales and Service Representatives.
  • Produce and present monthly performance reports to customer operations department.
  • Assist in training of customers and Sandvik employees as required.
  • Report occurrences that may indicate improper usage or selection by operators.
  • Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports.
  • Stay current with industry, customer, product developments and technical best practices.
  • Build sound relationships with the rock tools team, and internal and external customers to ensure smooth operations and participates in training of both clients and employees as required.
  • Comply with SMC safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements.
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting any unsafe work habits, workplace incidents and / or near misses.
  • Maintain hand tools and equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Maintain orderly workshop and ensure housekeeping requirements are met.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by manager.
