Supervisor, Facilities Maintenance and Operations

Lead a team of maintenance personnel in a fast-paced hospital environment, overseeing building systems, grounds, equipment, and hardware to ensure smooth operations and code compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and control building systems and maintenance activities, including minor construction projects.
  • Supervise and performance manage designated staff, including journeymen in various trades.
  • Participate in the management of grievances and labour relations matters.
  • Recruit staff through interviewing and hiring processes.
  • Develop and manage budgets for facilities operations and maintenance.
  • Monitor daily work activity to ensure safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate major and minor projects, including reviewing plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Prepare reports on project progress and document issues.
Requirements:
  • Trades qualification as a journeyman in a relevant trade and/or Power Engineering certificate.
  • Five to seven years of recent, related experience, including two years of direct supervisory experience.
  • Electrical Journeyman and FSR certification.
