Job Title: Project Planner - Risk Specialist

We are working with Bruce Power to identify a skilled Project Planner - Risk Specialist to join their team at the Bruce Power Nuclear site or off-site office.

The successful candidate will take a lead role in providing project management support at the project, program, or division level, ensuring that assigned projects/programs adhere to approved processes, tools, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation and maintenance of planning and control/cost engineering functions, including integrated cost and schedule programs, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, modification, and commissioning.
  • Prepare estimates, review variance, and sanction support documentation to support project management of multidisciplinary-engineered projects or programs.
  • Facilitate Work Breakdown Structure development meetings and project team dynamics to develop multi-disciplined team solutions.
  • Develop activity-based multi-level project/program schedules, identifying cost and resource predictions, and perform financial calculations to recommend the most cost-effective approach.
  • Establish major project/program milestones and provide coordination and consulting services to integrate efforts of stakeholders throughout the project/program life cycle.
  • Perform financial risk analysis on baseline and scenario project and program cost and schedule activity networks, making recommendations on uncertainty allocation and risk management strategies.
  • Develop and maintain the baseline program budget for the life of the program, producing cost, schedule, and resource reports and graphics for staffing plans and strategic resource planning decisions.
  • Conduct periodic sensitivity analysis for the overall program, addressing issues arising from strategic changes, budgetary constraints, and other factors.
  • Prepare project/program summary reports indicating status on scope, schedule, cost, and concerns to be addressed by the management team.
  • Ensure planning and control documentation is consistent with sound engineering, economic, and project management principles, and provides optimum conformity to established standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-year diploma/degree in business management, engineering, or technology.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in project risk, with an RMP designation an asset.
  • Previous nuclear experience an asset.
  • Security clearance an asset.
  • Understanding or experience with mechanical or electrical components or design an asset.
