The YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick is seeking a Chief Finance Officer to oversee the financial and IT strategy, planning, and management of the organization.

**Job Summary:** The Chief Finance Officer will be responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring fiscal health, and aligning financial operations with the organization's long-term goals.

The Chief Finance Officer will play a critical role in managing financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, payroll and employee benefits, IT systems and investments while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The successful candidate will have a CPA designation, a university degree in a related field, and 3 years of senior leadership/management experience or equivalent.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop, analyze, and interpret statistical and accounting information to assess and communicate operational results.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
  • Provide strategic advice to the CEO, Board, and senior staff regarding the operational and administrative infrastructure of the Association.
  • Maintain accounting and operating systems with appropriate controls and procedures to ensure accuracy of financial information.
  • Ensure compliance with CRA filings and other regulatory bodies and manage the annual audit process.
  • Provide consultation and guidance in all financial matters related to operations, capital, or special projects.
  • Manage Association Finance and Risk Management and Endowment Investment/Finance Committees.
  • Manage the IT function and oversee implementation and updating of IT strategies.
  • Ensure payroll adheres to employment legislation and administer the group benefits plan and pension plan.
  • Ensure operating procedures and policies are up to date and adhered to.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the Finance and IT Team.

**Philanthropy, Community Relations, Promotion and Marketing:**

  • Demonstrate and promote a personal understanding of and appreciation for the mission, vision, and values of the YMCA.
  • Participate in annual campaign events and fundraising initiatives and represent the Association at community events.
  • Provide input and achieve the YMCA's strategic goals through participation on the association's Senior Leadership Team.
