Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Specialty Unit at Abbotsford Regional Hospital & Cancer Centre. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide and coordinate pre and post-operative nursing care for adults and children in an inpatient unit and/or outpatient clinic or setting.
Responsibilities- Assess patients and collect information from various sources to inform nursing diagnoses and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote person-centered care and ensure seamless transitions throughout the care continuum.
- Participate in the development and implementation of clinical pathways and protocols to enhance patient outcomes and quality of care.
- Provide education and support to patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care strategies.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a culture of safety and quality within the organization.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Two (2) years recent relevant clinical experience in the designated clinical area.
- Completion of post-graduate coursework and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of productivity.
