Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Acute Assessment Program at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will provide comprehensive patient care and support in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient condition and needs, contributing to the development and implementation of therapeutic patient care and transition plans
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting therapeutic rapport and adherence to treatment plans
- Document patient care and compliance with quality standards, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide safe and effective patient care, adhering to PACCC standards and program-wide policies
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, driving excellence in patient care and outcomes
- Graduate of an accredited physician assistant training program
- Certified or eligible for certification through the PACCC
- Previous experience in acute care medicine and mental health an asset
- Proficiency in English language; working knowledge of French language an asset
