They specialize in working with privately-owned businesses, offering a tailored blend of services such as accounting, tax planning, business improvement advisory, mergers & acquisitions guidance, and estate planning.
About the Role
In this leadership position with a focus on client interaction, you will collaborate closely with the team to implement accounting, tax, and business strategies for clients.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing complex client projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, meeting high-quality standards, and leaving clients highly satisfied.
- Managing project files, setting budgets, planning activities, monitoring progress, and reviewing projects for accuracy.
- Addressing dynamic accounting and tax challenges.
- Guiding and supervising your team.
- Serving as the primary client relationship manager.
- Reviewing financial statements and tax returns for specific clients.
- Preparing submissions for CRA.
- Assisting in marketing efforts to reach existing and potential clients.
Required Experience, Qualifications, and Characteristics:
- Undergraduate degree
- CPA designation
- 6+ years of experience in public practice, focusing on audit engagements
- 3+ years of team management experience
- In-depth knowledge of ASPE, ASNPO, and audit standards
- Ability to research and analyze financial and audit-related issues
- Capable of providing accounting insights clearly
- Familiarity with challenges of small-to-medium sized businesses
- Independent, motivated, and a self-starter
- Effective multi-tasker
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled relationship builder
- Brings positive energy to the team
Added Bonus if you have local experience of 3+ years
