They specialize in working with privately-owned businesses, offering a tailored blend of services such as accounting, tax planning, business improvement advisory, mergers & acquisitions guidance, and estate planning.

About the Role

In this leadership position with a focus on client interaction, you will collaborate closely with the team to implement accounting, tax, and business strategies for clients.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing complex client projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, meeting high-quality standards, and leaving clients highly satisfied.
  • Managing project files, setting budgets, planning activities, monitoring progress, and reviewing projects for accuracy.
  • Addressing dynamic accounting and tax challenges.
  • Guiding and supervising your team.
  • Serving as the primary client relationship manager.
  • Reviewing financial statements and tax returns for specific clients.
  • Preparing submissions for CRA.
  • Assisting in marketing efforts to reach existing and potential clients.

Required Experience, Qualifications, and Characteristics:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • CPA designation
  • 6+ years of experience in public practice, focusing on audit engagements
  • 3+ years of team management experience
  • In-depth knowledge of ASPE, ASNPO, and audit standards
  • Ability to research and analyze financial and audit-related issues
  • Capable of providing accounting insights clearly
  • Familiarity with challenges of small-to-medium sized businesses
  • Independent, motivated, and a self-starter
  • Effective multi-tasker
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled relationship builder
  • Brings positive energy to the team

Added Bonus if you have local experience of 3+ years
