Research Coordinator II REACH Nexus

The CIHR Centre for REACH in HIV/AIDS (REACH Nexus) is a nation-wide virtual research lab focusing on HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and other infections. We are a diverse partnership that includes individuals living with HIV/AIDS, community organizations, health researchers, and policymakers. REACH is seeking a Research Coordinator with experience in Indigenous community-based research. It is preferred for candidates to have knowledge of Indigenous cultural practices.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates research projects with autonomy and strategic direction.
  • Manages day-to-day project activities.
  • Assists Principal Investigators in new research initiatives.
  • Leads quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.
  • Prepares and presents research findings at conferences.
  • Develops processes to support research projects and team members.
  • Ensures compliance with research regulations and ethical standards.
  • Administers informed consent forms and manages study participants.

Administrative Duties:

  • Designs source documents for data management.
  • Creates training materials and communication plans.
  • Organizes and facilitates meetings with stakeholders.
  • Manages research contracts and privacy regulations.
  • Guides project staff and resolves conflicts.
  • Supports team growth and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree or Health Professional Qualification.
  • 2 years of experience in Indigenous research or community service.
  • Empathy and understanding of diverse communities.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel within Canada.
