Speech-Language Pathologist and Communicative Disorders Assistant sought to join a dynamic team at The Crystal Ladder Learning Centre, providing holistic speech therapy to neurodiverse learners.

The Crystal Ladder Learning Centre is a leading provider of speech therapy services, seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (CASLPO Registered) and a qualified Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) to join our team. Our SLP department uses a holistic approach to improve language and communication skills of neurodiverse learners, aged 3-18 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop recommendations, and write reports.
  • Develop treatment plans and provide therapy as clinically recommended.
  • Meet with parents to keep them informed on progress/updates regarding the SLP intervention and address any concerns.
  • Work with administration to ensure all learners receive weekly speech sessions.
  • Plan seasonal camps during March break and summer break.
  • Provide parent training to facilitate carryover and generalization.
  • Provide consultation and training to other professionals in the center.
  • Implement, troubleshoot, and support augmentative alternative communication devices.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to speech-language pathology.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with patients of all ages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
