Job Description

The Nuna Group of Companies is seeking a highly skilled Scheduler/Project Coordinator to join our team in Edmonton, AB. As a leading Inuit-owned heavy civil construction, earthworks, and mine construction contractor in Canada, we offer diverse and rewarding project experiences across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain an overall active project schedule system, ensuring accurate tracking and forecasting of equipment and personnel.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve a planning and scheduling system that promotes exceptional project execution.
  • Develop and maintain a planning and scheduling document management system for pristine record keeping and filing.
  • Research and introduce new technologies to improve efficiencies and effectiveness in planning, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Develop and maintain an extensive training program for planning and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with IT personnel on application integration and database maintenance.
  • Administer application security profiles, users, and libraries for estimating and scheduling programs.
  • Develop and maintain project lead indicators to improve overall project and company performance.
Requirements
  • Three years of construction industry experience in project planning and scheduling.
  • Progressive responsibility with experience developing schedules and scheduling programs.
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of software and Primavera Project Planner.
  • Estimating software experience an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in training and mentoring junior planners/schedulers.
Education
  • Related post-secondary education or equivalent experience in construction project scheduling.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Thorough knowledge of estimating procedures and processes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
