About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical design team in the GTA offices. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical building systems design and will be responsible for leading electrical design teams on larger multi-discipline projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare electrical designs and drawings of building facilities and building electrical systems using computer-aided tools.
  • Assist in identifying cost-effective solutions to design problems.
  • Lead electrical design teams on larger multi-discipline projects.
  • Liaise with project managers and other discipline project leaders to obtain project information and discuss specific design-related problems.
  • Assist in creating and presenting technical reports regarding the nature, status, and results of design or study assignments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering plus 10+ years' experience in buildings electrical systems design preferred in a consulting or utility environment.
  • Must have or be eligible for the P. Eng. designation in Ontario.
  • Strong skills in the use of the REVIT modeling system is an asset.
  • Electrical design and specification experience in the following building systems: power distribution in buildings, lighting design, fire alarm systems, card access and camera security systems, PA systems, telecommunications systems, and audio-visual systems.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
