Fitness Manager Job Description

The Fitness Manager is responsible for developing their direct reports and growing the number of personal trainers, client base, and serviced hours at the club. They must ensure a high standard of professionalism, results-based programming, and profitability in the Personal Training department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, select, onboard, and develop a successful team of Personal Trainers
  • Lead Personal Training Team through coaching and development to achieve Club Key Performance Indicators
  • Manage the Personal Training experience by ensuring all sessions are serviced according to GoodLife standards
  • Manage Personal Training administration
  • Collaborate with all departments in the club to enhance overall club culture

Requirements:
  • Nationally recognized Personal Training certification
  • Minimum 1 year Personal Training experience
  • Proven success in leading, training, and motivating diverse teams to achieve performance goals
  • Success in achieving individual and team service and sales goals
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Passion for helping others and a commitment to personal health and fitness
  • Commitment to contributing to a culture that celebrates diversity, equity, and inclusion
