Self-Checkout Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Self-Checkout Attendant to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Self-Checkout Attendant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a clean and organized self-service area, ensuring a safe and efficient shopping environment for customers.
- Provide education and support to customers on the correct use of self-service options, promoting a seamless shopping experience.
- Upsell and promote company-sponsored programs, such as credit card services and charity initiatives, to enhance customer engagement.
- Monitor customer activity and provide assistance when needed, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Respond to EAS alarms and complete the necessary documentation, demonstrating a commitment to security and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with the Customer Service Manager to address technical issues and maintain a smooth operation of the self-service area.
- Return Scan & Go scanners to their designated location after use, ensuring efficient inventory management.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A strong commitment to customer service and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
- A high level of attention to detail, with the ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash and operate a point of sale system.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
