Job Title: Research Grants Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Grants Project Manager to join our team at NSCAD University. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a multidisciplinary research project focused on sustainable agriculture and circular economy.

Job Summary

The Research Grants Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating the project's activities, ensuring timely completion of deliverables, and managing the project budget. The successful candidate will work closely with the research team, industry partners, and the funding agency to achieve the project's objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the project work plan, ensuring alignment with the project's objectives and timelines.
  • Manage the project budget, oversee financial transactions, and ensure compliance with grant reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate project activities, including planning and scheduling meetings, events, and research trips.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the research team, industry partners, and the funding agency.
  • Develop and manage a project communication plan, including knowledge dissemination activities and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure the successful completion of all project components, including research streams, and deliverables.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in project management, a master's degree in a relevant field, and demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary university research projects. The candidate will possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, proficiency in project management tools, and experience working with diverse teams.
