Technical Agronomy Intern Opportunity

We are seeking a Technical Agronomy Intern to join our team in Lethbridge, AB, for a 4-month contract. The successful candidate will assist in managing large-scale trials, conduct evaluations, and participate in customer tours and presentations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and manage large-scale trials, including canola hybrids, seed treatment, fungicide, and herbicide trials with growers.
  • Conduct evaluations throughout the season, including plant vigor, plant count measurement, and efficacy assessments.
  • Participate in customer tours and presentations, and assist with the operation of ATV and pull behind sprayer.
  • Be responsible for transportation of equipment from site to site.
  • Complete and present on a Demand Creation/Research project before peers and senior leaders.
  • Have professional and direct interaction with grower and retail stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Current enrollment in an agriculture science or related degree program.
  • Interest in agronomy.
  • High level of enthusiasm and strong communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to learn and gain experience in agronomy.
  • Mobility to travel within your assigned region, manage your own schedule, and work independently in pursuit of team goals.
  • Valid drivers' license required.
  • Experience with the operation of farm equipment and sprayers is an asset.
