Social Worker

We are seeking a Registered Social Worker to provide holistic and culturally safe services to vulnerable individuals and families in our community.
As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive assessment, care planning, and treatment coordination to designated clients and their families.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Social Work degree, at least three years' experience in a community setting, and registration with the BC College of Social Workers.
- **Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide comprehensive assessment, care planning, and treatment coordination for designated clients and their families.
- Develop and implement social work services to maintain or improve the health and social well-being of the identified population.
- Collaborate with other health and social service agencies to achieve the best health outcomes for patients.
- **Requirements:**
- **Education:** Bachelor of Social Work degree from an accredited institution.
- **Experience:** At least three years' experience in a community setting and/or working with vulnerable people.
- **Registration:** Must possess or be eligible for registration with the BC College of Social Workers.
- **Skills:** Knowledge of trauma-informed care and cultural safety principles, excellent communication and active listening skills.
- **Desirable Qualities:**
- Ability to take initiative and provide expertise/leadership from a psychosocial perspective on an interdisciplinary health care team.
- Solid skills in assessment, case and crisis management, systemic and individual advocacy, and referral.
- Thorough understanding of harm reduction and the role it plays in disease prevention.
