**Job Summary:** Technology Sales Specialist role at IBM Storage, co-creating with clients and colleagues in a trusted and respected team, driving sales exposure to the latest technology and shaping the world with influential clients.

As a Technology Sales Specialist at IBM Storage, you will work closely with clients to develop relationships, understand their needs, and show them how IBM's industry-leading solutions will solve their problems while delivering value to their business. You will be part of a collaborative and experiential sales environment, surrounded by bright minds and keen co-creators who will help and be helped as you apply passion to work that will compel our clients to invest in IBM's products and services.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Client Management & Value Communication: Managing clients and effectively communicating IBM's value.
  • Decision Maker Engagement: Identifying decision makers, qualifying opportunities, and establishing partnerships.
  • Sales Process Leadership: Overseeing the complete sales process, with a focus on new business.
  • Collaborative Ecosystem Engagement: Collaborating with the broader IBM sales ecosystem to develop campaigns and boost pipeline growth.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise:**

  • Tech Sales Success and High Performance: A successful track record in tech sales, particularly in new client acquisition, with a focus on consistently achieving targets and delivering results.
  • Business Acumen Application: Demonstrated business acumen in explaining tech's operational and financial impact.
  • Influential Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a strong influence.

**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:**

  • Storage Market Expertise: Storage market knowledge to be a trusted client advisor, with training on IBM's Storage offerings.
  • Understanding IBM's Competitive Distinctions: Grasp IBM's competitive differentiations as well as the position of competitors in the market.
