Requirements:
In alignment with BCCNM Standards of Nursing Practice, the RN/RPN provides person-centered care and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include:
- Identifying care concerns and strengths, planning interventions, and evaluating outcomes.
- Providing direct nursing care and communicating changes effectively.
- Collecting information, documenting observations, and assessing care.
- Advocating for residents' rights and promoting person-centered care.
- Supporting education of students and team members.
- Participating in quality improvement activities and research.
- Maintaining a safe working environment and complying with regulations.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved Nursing School, current registration with BCCNM, minimum 1 year of related nursing experience, and First Aid certificate.
Skills and Abilities:
Key qualifications include knowledge of nursing theory, critical thinking, effective communication, leadership, and ability to work both independently and within a team.
