Requirements:
In alignment with BCCNM Standards of Nursing Practice, the RN/RPN provides person-centered care and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include:


  1. Identifying care concerns and strengths, planning interventions, and evaluating outcomes.
  2. Providing direct nursing care and communicating changes effectively.
  3. Collecting information, documenting observations, and assessing care.
  4. Advocating for residents' rights and promoting person-centered care.
  5. Supporting education of students and team members.
  6. Participating in quality improvement activities and research.
  7. Maintaining a safe working environment and complying with regulations.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved Nursing School, current registration with BCCNM, minimum 1 year of related nursing experience, and First Aid certificate.


Skills and Abilities:
Key qualifications include knowledge of nursing theory, critical thinking, effective communication, leadership, and ability to work both independently and within a team.
