Full-time tenure track faculty appointment in Nursing at Lakehead University, Thunder Bay Campus, with a focus on teaching, research, and service duties.

The Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences at Lakehead University invites highly qualified candidates to join our team as a full-time tenure track faculty member in the School of Nursing. The successful candidate will engage in a combination of teaching, research, and service duties, with a focus on advancing the field of nursing in Northwestern Ontario.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Ph.D. in Nursing or a related field, with a strong research background and a commitment to teaching and service.
  • An unrestricted license as an RN with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Experience with experiential learning, online or alternative modes of delivery, and a demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • A strong research and scholarship record, with a focus on various aspects of illness, health, and healthcare services in Northwestern Ontario.
  • The potential to make service contributions to the School of Nursing, the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, and the Nursing profession.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing courses, with a focus on relational practice and evidence-based practice.
  • Conduct research and scholarship in the field of nursing, with a focus on advancing the field in Northwestern Ontario.
  • Make service contributions to the School of Nursing, the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, and the Nursing profession.
