A Route Driver is needed to provide industry leading service to clients by safely managing customer document destruction needs, including transporting supplies and materials. The role involves loading and unloading delivery vehicles, securing cargo, and performing pre/post-trip checks.

About the Role

This position is responsible for providing high-quality service to customers by ensuring the safe and efficient management of customer document destruction needs. The Route Driver will transport supplies and materials, load and unload vehicles, and perform pre/post-trip checks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform onsite/offsite document destruction of confidential information
  • Perform pre/post-trip checks and report maintenance problems to the dispatcher
  • Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner to minimize injury risk and equipment damage
  • Comply with local, provincial, and federal laws governing driver fitness and hours of service
  • Complete and maintain DOT logs when applicable
  • Manage assigned routes to ensure customers' confidential material is collected and serviced in a timely and accurate manner
  • Handle and respond to customer problems and inquiries expediently and in the best interest of both the customer and the company
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in route management, driving shred trucks, and box trucks
  • Current driver's license (Class 3 or equivalent) with an excellent driving record
  • Ability to obtain a medical card by a certified medical examiner for CMV/CDL drivers
