Required Skills:
• Good years of experience as an Informatica Administrator.
• Proven expertise with Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud, or similar platforms.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data integration best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
• Knowledge of networking, storage, and server administration is a plus.
• Familiarity with automation tools and techniques.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is preferred.
• Certification in Informatica Administration or related technologies is a plus.
• Willingness to work on-call support or flexible hours as needed.
Roles and responsibilities:
1. Platform Administration:
* Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Informatica platforms (PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud, MDM, etc.).
* Monitor and manage Informatica services, ensuring high availability and performance.
* Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues.
2. Security and Access Management:
* Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within the Informatica environment.
* Ensure data security compliance and enforce best practices.
3. System Performance and Optimization:
* Monitor and tune system performance, including workflows, mappings, and sessions.
* Analyze performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations for efficient ETL processing.
4. Integration and Workflow Management:
* Deploy and manage workflows, mappings, and sessions.
* Coordinate with developers to ensure seamless integration between systems.
5. Backup and Recovery:
* Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies for Informatica repositories.
* Ensure system redundancy and disaster recovery plans are in place.
6. Collaboration and Support:
* Work with developers and business analysts to resolve data-related issues.
* Provide technical guidance and support to teams using Informatica tools.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
* Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
* Generate reports and dashboards for monitoring system health and performance.
8. Upgrades and Patches:
* Manage version upgrades and apply patches to keep the platform up to date.
* Conduct impact analysis for updates and coordinate testing with relevant teams.
