Your new company

Hays Specialist Recruitment has partnered with a government organization based in Toronto, ON. We are seeking an Administrator, first nation Initiatives to join their team for a 6-month contract. This position is full time hours, and fully in office Monday-Friday.


Your new role:

  • Provide administrative assistance in support of initiatives, programs, processes and projects
  • You will be managing calendars, setting up engagement appointments and coordinating meetings
  • Preparation, review, processing and distribution of correspondence, meeting minutes, presentations and reports.
  • Prepares and processes various documents and data
  • Drafts correspondence, composes communications
  • Monitor and update /database
  • Ensures that the tracking and following up of requests is maintained
  • Proofread documents
  • Assist in the development and implementation new tools and procedures for improvement


What you need to succeed:

  • 2+ years of experience of administrative experience
  • Candidates who self-identify as first nation are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
