Overview:

The CEO will oversee all primary functions of the company, including Finance, Administration, Human Resources, Legal, Real Estate, and Compliance. This role involves defining and executing strategies to drive growth, enhance market positioning, and foster technological advancement across various regions, with distinct focuses in North America and Europe.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Market Development

  • Lead the development of corporate strategy, focusing on regional priorities:
  • North America (Main Market): Maintain and grow the customer base in the U.S. and Canada, explore new applications, and consider expanding the product portfolio towards factory automation. Ensure high-quality standards and define appropriate quality levels for the market.
  • European Collaborations: Collaborate with group companies in Europe to offer turn-key lines for both North American and European markets, particularly in the coffee segment. Ensure these offerings are marketable across Europe as well.
  • Pharma and Life Sciences Market: Explore and advance opportunities in end-of-line packaging for the pharma and life sciences sectors. Assess market needs and collaborate with European companies to refine their positioning in this sector.
  • Shape their portfolio to align with European market expectations (appearance, quality, and performance), gradually enabling turn-key or standalone solutions while balancing cost-effectiveness and profitability.


Operational and Organizational Development

  • Drive revenue growth and optimize company structures in both quality and capacity.
  • Implement efficiency tools like 5S and Six Sigma and establish a robust supply chain management function to modernize operations.


Technology and Innovation

  • Develop a deep understanding of their machine concepts and encourage modular, standardized designs to reduce customization costs.
  • Actively support technological advancements, collaborating with their parent company in Switzerland to enhance digital capabilities, machine control systems, drive technologies, and turn-key solutions. Focus on implementing smart interfaces, unified HMI systems, and standardized components to streamline production and service processes.


Collaboration with the North America CEO

  • Maintain close collaboration with the U.S.-based CEO responsible for sales, legal, and administrative functions in North America. This partnership may evolve, with potential succession planning under consideration.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal CEO will have a strategic mindset, strong operational acumen, and a passion for driving growth and technological innovation. They should have significant experience in international markets, particularly within North America and Europe, and expertise in managing cross-functional teams and complex business relationships. Familiarity with modular machine concepts and manufacturing best practices (e.g., Six Sigma, 5S) is highly preferred.
