As a UX Designer at BorderPass, you will play a crucial role in crafting intuitive and engaging user experiences across our digital products. You’ll collaborate closely with our marketing, product, and development Teams to ensure that our platform not only meets user needs but also delights them at every touchpoint while providing immense value.
About You
- You are passionate about understanding user behaviour and translating that into thoughtful, engaging designs
- You are a self-starter, who is keen to become an expert in our users and product, and is able to design complete end-to-end product flows for our users
- You understand how to take a design project from start to 100% completion without extensive management and oversight
- You have a strong portfolio that showcases your design thinking and problem-solving abilities in creating seamless user experience
- You are proficient in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch, and have a solid understanding of HTML/CSS and JavaScript
- You thrive in a startup environment, bringing a blend of creativity and practicality to your work
- You are highly collaborative and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and development
- You are detail-oriented, with a keen eye for aesthetic design and a deep understanding of usability principles
Responsibilities
- Be an Expert on Our Users: Have a deep understanding of user’s behaviours and needs, identifying how to create seamless and effective user experiences
- Design Development: Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes that communicate design ideas and user flows effectively
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product, and development Teams to align design efforts with business goals and user needs
- Complete Design Projects: Take assigned design project from start to completion.
- Usability Testing: Plan and conduct usability tests to gather feedback and iterate on designs to improve user experience
- Brand Consistency: Ensure that all designs align with BorderPass’s brand identity and visual guidelines
- Data Analysis: Use data-driven insights to continuously refine and improve the user experience
- Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed design documentation and guidelines for future reference
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- A solid understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A user-centric mindset with a deep understanding of user experience best practices.
