Responsibilities:

  • Full Cycle Bookkeeping: Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, managing accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger maintenance.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards.
  • Reconciliation: Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of transactions.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and work with purchasing team to track and manage inventory levels, costs, and adjustments in accordance with terpenes industry standards.
  • Month End/Year End Process: Assist Controller in the year end preparation of books for our outsourced accountant and other regulatory filings. Knowledge of US tax law would be an asset.
  • Budgeting: Assist Controller to develop and monitor budgets, providing financial analysis and forecasting as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Assist Controller to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 - 7 years of full cycle bookkeeping experience, preferably in cannabis and terpenes or related industry. Multi-tasking is a must
  • Software Proficiency: Expertise and correct use of QuickBooks Online (QBO) is essential along with MS Office 365, Outlook, Concur, Zoho, Shopify, Xero and other accounting applications. Preferably an Excel Wizard.
  • Education: Bookkeeping Certificate, Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
