Digital Marketing and Design Specialist

About the client:
Our client is a well-known appliance distributor providing luxury brands to both B2B and B2C markets. We are looking for a Digital Marketing & Design Specialist to join their team, based out of their Richmond office.
This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase brand awareness and elevate their online marketing initiatives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating high quality content for various social media platforms and coordinating organic and paid media campaigns. The person will act as an ambassador for the company’s online presence, responsible for follower communication and engagement, data monitoring and reporting, and maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the website. The role will focus on building a consistent brand image across all online touchpoints, enhancing the brand identity to align with annual marketing strategies, and growing brand recognition with audiences in the Greater Vancouver area.
The budget for the position is $60-70k. Compensation will consist of a salary and bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an online marketing strategy to increase website traffic and user engagement.
- Implement tactics applying best practices in SEO, social media marketing, email marketing, online advertising, and website optimization.
- Work with website support team to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to drive social and website traffic and maximize online visibility.
- Create a social media strategy and content calendar to support our four sales divisions.
- Manage paid media campaigns and execution with internal and external partners.
- Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms, collaborative partnerships, sponsored content, website, and blog.
- Design content for various digital and print projects including campaign creative, showroom POP, marketing pamphlets, and signage.
- Create assets and execute email marketing campaigns to enhance brand awareness and build rapport with the design & build community.
- Manage content library and utilize existing photo/ video footage to create new content.
- Attend showroom, tradeshow & industry events to capture content for marketing purposes and event needs.
- Manage the website catalogue and promotions pages and ensure website content is up-to-date and accurate.
- Assist in the development and optimization of landing pages, links, and backlinks to support marketing initiatives and improve user experience across website and social media platforms.
- Monitor Google Business account and social media channels for customer inquiries, comments, reviews, and feedback.
- Define, monitor, and analyze key performance metrics, clearly communicate what the numbers represent, and provide insight to drive digital marketing recommendations.
- Manage the collection of invoices, data reports, and other necessary documents to provide support with fiscal budgeting.
- Provide ongoing communication to staff regarding sales, special promotions, marketing initiatives, partnership programs, and website updates.
- Manage and maintain client and consumer database for marketing communications.
- Manage updates to our website content, google listings, social media accounts, partner and industry association websites, supplier dealer pages, and other as required.
- Procure and coordinate marketing display material and “swag” inventory.
- Act as liaison to manage truck/car fleet program (wraps and decals).
- Assist in the development of timely internal reports and organizational communication.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in marketing.
- Experience in digital marketing working for a construction or building products related company.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients, vendors, & team members.
- Proficient in all major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube).
- In-depth knowledge of Google Ads, SEO/ SEM, social media platforms, and email marketing best practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with Canva is also an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail, well organized and self-motivated.
- Experience with photography and video creation/editing is an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to travel to showroom locations and off-site events when required.
