We are looking for a Broker to join our expanding General Industries team in Toronto. In this role, you will manage a book of Small Business Entreprise (SME) accounts and support our International Team. If you are client-focused, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to growing team, this role could be for you.


Accountabilities:

  • Provide exceptional client service while managing a high volume of SME and International accounts
  • Conduct research and analysis to understand clients' operations thoroughly
  • Prepare renewal files 90+ days in advance, including loss runs and required documents
  • Draft key insurance documents, including Broker of Record letters, underwriting submissions, quote comparisons, renewal reports, binders and policy summaries
  • Assist with client proposals, reports, analysis, and presentations
  • Ensure compliance with company workflows, including maintaining accurate records and client information in the broker management system
  • Manage market placements and respond to client coverage questions and concerns
  • Process policy amendments, cancellations, and follow-ups, including reviewing all insurance documents and endorsements for accuracy
  • Oversee day-to-day account management, liaising with internal teams and clients
  • Review insurance contract terms and indemnity provisions
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and underwriters
  • Coordinate issuance of invoices, premium finance quotes, Auto Liability Pink Slips/Cards, and Certificates of Insurance
  • Track receivables to ensure timely collections
  • Performing other duties as assigned


The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

  • 2- 5 years of experience in insurance brokering or underwriting
  • Valid Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) license
  • Commitment to outstanding client service
  • Experience with broker management systems (e.g., EPIC)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and data with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and growth-oriented
  • Team player with collaborative approach
