Job description

Key Contributions and Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, HACCP, GMP, and other relevant policies.
  • Provide coaching, leadership, and performance assessments for maintenance personnel.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and motivate employees to ensure tasks are completed efficiently, effectively, and safely.
  • Optimize the use of labor, equipment, and material resources.
  • Collaborate with the Production Department to monitor and enhance equipment performance.
  • Manage CMMS transitions, asset management, parts inventory, and track maintenance KPIs.
  • Analyze downtime data to improve equipment efficiency, including MTTR and MTBF metrics.
  • Implement and oversee reliability programs such as FMEAs, vibration analysis, and oil sampling.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with established safety programs.
  • Maintain effective internal and external working relationships.
  • Hold employees accountable for adherence to health and safety requirements and regulations.
  • Provide proper instruction and training for safe work practices.
  • Conduct daily work area inspections and address safety concerns.
  • Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports, sharing findings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification (e.g., Electro-mechanical license) with an electro-mechanical background.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in plant maintenance.
  • Proven ability to manage and engage a team of skilled trades professionals.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices and adherence to safety policies and procedures.
  • Strong adaptability to changing organizational and operational needs, with the ability to lead teams through change.
  • Team-oriented leadership style with cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in preventive maintenance planning and technical systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain precise records and documentation.
  • Willingness to support operations in a 24/7 environment as needed.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer-based applications.
