The incumbent is responsible for inspecting parts to and from external processes. They are also responsible for logging the results of their inspection activities. Calibration of measuring instruments when needed. Inspecting parts and verifying documents(e.g.: MPS) for completion prior to shipping to external processesInspecting parts received from external processes, verifying certificates of conformance and the process are in accordance with customers' requirementsDocumenting all inspection activities on a daily log (incoming and outgoing jobs)Defining & following up on the disposition of rejections (documented on NCR's)Communicating inspection results to customerCompleting concession requests to send to the customer for dispositionAssisting other inspectors when neededControlling the quarantine cageRecording temperature and humidity level on a daily basis within the inspection labSending out measuring instruments for calibration (when needed) according to a determined scheduleCalibrating the measuring instruments (those that can be calibrated internally)Maintaining calibration records and certificates of measuring instrumentsMaintaining the stamp log held by inspectors and taking action for replacing, buying or destroying them as neededActing as a "Supplier Quality Representative" on behalf of specific customersIssuing serial numbers for all customers and maintaining the related logVerifies completed FAI reports and/or performs FAI inspection activities, when neededAdhere to the rules of Health & Safety Performing other related duties as neededAbility to be an effective team memberDecision making and problem solvingPatienceConcentration on the jobStress and pressure managementAttention to detail and accuracyShowing initiative and self confidenceBeing proactiveGood judgmentQuality minded and honestCapacity to lift up to 40lb WORK CONDITIONSOffice environmentOccasional visits to the plant, safety glasses and steel-toed shoes are required
