The Opportunity:


Our client in Brantford has partnered with ML6 on their search for a highly skilled, detail-oriented CAD Drafter and Document Control Coordinator to join their dynamic team. This position is dedicated to the creation, modification, and standardization of precise and detailed technical drawings and installation instructions for their structures. The

ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of drafting and design principles while supporting the accurate construction and efficient assembly of the different products. This role is essential to ensuring that their designs meet high standards of quality and accuracy throughout the entire project lifecycle.


What You'll Be Doing:


  • Review and update detailed, high-quality 2D and 3D drawings for prefabricated retractable roof greenhouse buildings, ensuring all designs adhere to project specifications and company standards.
  • Create complete sets of technical plans, including detailed assembly drawings, that meet both company and project-specific requirements.
  • Update and maintain product drawings and documentation throughout the lifecycle of each product, reflecting any changes, adjustments, or revisions accurately.
  • Organize and manage an efficient file system for all product drawings, ensuring files are accessible, well-organized, and version-controlled for team collaboration.
  • Support and contribute to ongoing continuous improvement-based projects, creating and documenting SOP’s.
  • Inventory alignment and audits for client packages


What You'll Need to Be Successful:


  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (required) and familiarity with other drafting software
  • 5+ years of AutoCAD drafting experience
  • Experience in steel building design or prefabricated construction would be highly preferred.
  • Diploma or Degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering sketches, technical specifications, and verbal instructions to produce accurate designs and instructions.
  • Excellent attention to detail, along with superior organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative project team, ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time and to a high standard of quality.
