Job SummaryWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and the ability to educate and inspire students of all ages, particularly children. This role involves creating a positive learning environment where students can develop their dance skills while fostering a love for movement and creativity.We are seeking Musical Theatre teachers.We are also looking for teachers of all dance genres e.g. Acro, tumbling, kpop, jazz funk, ballet, commercial etc.Do you have any language abilities? If you have a love for dance and enjoy working with children, this position is perfect for you.Who you are:- Good communicator- new immigrants welcome- willing to learn and adapt to Canadian children / culture- wanting Canadian experience- teaching parent with children age 5+ welcomed (as long as your child(ren) does not interfere with class operations, they are welcome to join class when you teach)Duties- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and goals of the dance studio- Plan and deliver dance lessons to students of various ages and skill levels- Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment for all students- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum- Teach proper dance techniques, including body alignment, coordination, and rhythm- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their skills- Choreograph dance routines for in-class performancesSkills- Experience working with children- Strong educational background in dance or related field- Classroom management skills- Knowledge of early childhood education principles preferredMore details:- Has current criminal record check or willing to obtain (we can help with this)- Low stress recreational dance environment (no competitions)Location: VancouverSub, teach weekly or seasonallyTraining opportunities provided to polish teaching and classroom management skillsKEEP APPLICATION SIMPLE:Drop your dance demo, YouTube Vids, Linked In profile, and / or resume to start the conversation Email us: Find us on IG/FB: illumastudioCompensation starts at minimum wage and is adjusted based on experience, project fit, probation, trustworthiness, relationship with us etc. But if you are very detail oriented and want to get a jump start in the interview process, please respond to these questions:1) Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?
