The Logistics Coordinator will act as a primary means of contact for L & T customer base as well as internal Nippon Express departments and will be responsible for maintaining various forms of communication including e-mail, telephone, internal TMS systems and verbal between Nippon external and internal customers as well as L &T staff. Duties and Responsibilities:Arrange transportation and facilitate the movement of goods based on customer demands, including cross-border, domestic, FTL, LTL, white grove, oversize, and dangerous goods etc.Coordinate pickup and delivery orders with trucking companies, airlines and/or bonded facilitiesEnsure accuracy on shipments and minimize risk of delay by communicating with customers and vendorsPrompt and accurate communication with customers, external and internal branches, and sub-contractorsTrack and trace orders and report any anomaliesProvide excellent customer service with prompt handling of quotes, orders, and sales inquiriesAdvise clients on transportation and payment methods, including the issuance of freight bills and invoices to brokers and/or customer. Including proper record retention and filing of documentationFiling of invoices, orders, PODs, and collect payments for the sameCollect, audit and accurately enter carrier qualification informationReconcile/balance customer accounts and ledgers by collection and analyzing account informationAssist manager with ongoing improvement of systems, projects, procedures and processesVarious other duties as may be requiredQualification:Experience in 3PL, load brokering operations or dispatch operations (an asset)General knowledge of the freight forwarding CIFFA environmentAbility to provide quality service for our customers by understanding their needs and requirementsStrong communication skills, verbal and writtenStrong time management; able to prioritize tasks Ability to remain calm in stressful situations, work under pressure and meet deadlinesCritical thinking and problem solvingBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel and WordEducation: High school diplomaCargoWise and Truck mate experience is an assetTDG certification is an asset What We Offer Health Benefits (Medical, Dental & Vision Coverage)RRSP/DPSP Plan with company matchingPaid Time Off (vacation & sick time)Opportunities for career growth and skill enhancementWe thank all applicants for their interest in a career with Nippon Express.
